Medical and Surgical Sterilizers vary in size and shape and can be heated in a variety of ways. Traditional direct steam methods saturate the contents with direct steam from a boiler or steam generator. Double wall versions are especially good for thermal efficiencies and fast turnarounds on cycles. Material used in fabrication is commonly Stainless Steel 304 or 316, and valves and gauge connections range from brass to stainless. Anchor offers a round style sterilizer fitted with internal trays for convenient loading and unloading. Controls may vary from simple on/off temperature control, to more elaborate PC controls with either thermal printers or PC data logging. Recently BSL-3 and BSL-4 laboratories are requiring sterilization of waste water effluent from laboratories and research centers. Anchor can offer turnkey designs and custom built systems to fit a variety of requirements.
